NPHS hosts recurring social/general interest programs, educational events, and large annual community events. Please visit our Facebook page for updates.

Our Special Speaker Series takes place the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm, March through May and September through November. These programs are free and open to the public.

Game Nights – First Friday of each month from 6pm to 11pm. Will not be held in May due to the Bridal exhibit. Will resume on June 7.

Knit & Crochet Nights – Last Friday of each month at 6:30pm. Will not be held in April or May due to the Bridal exhibit. Email Judy Rustemeyer for any additional information.

Museum Tours – Saturdays from Noon to 4pm

Every Saturday from May 4 – June 15 -Special Museum Exhibit: Diamonds & Lace; Decades of Bridal Splendor 1940-2020, noon to 4 p.m.

May 15 – Annual Meeting and election of board of directors and officers & Chicago’s Sweet Candy History presented by Leslie Goddard at 7 p.m.

May 27 – Norwood Park Memorial Day Parade

June 19 – Speaker Series: Former Sun-Times Reporter Ray Hanania at 7 p.m.


Upcoming Events


Nine decades of elegant bridal gowns from the 1940s through 2020s will be prominently displayed throughout the Museum parlors of the Noble-Seymour-Crippen House for a very special exhibit by the Norwood Park Historical Society. The gowns are on loan from Society members and their families. Supplementing the exhibit will be photographs from the last 100 years along with wedding veils, jewelry and other wedding memorabilia.
