Volunteer Opportunities

The Historical Society is a very active, diverse organization. Consequently, volunteer opportunities are varied and can meet just about any interest you may have. Current volunteer opportunities include Museum Docents, office assistants, gardeners, Yard Sale workers, feature writers for our monthly Newsletter or Journal, and Museum workers.

We also offer the opportunity for school, scout, or other groups to set up “work days” in order to obtain credit for volunteer hours. These days must be set up in advance, and workers must be supervised by a team leader and by a representative of the Norwood Park Historical Society.

In addition, our various special event and standing committees are frequently looking for participants. These include special events such as our giant Yard Sale/Auction/Book Sale, Birthday Party (July), Stems and Steins, Holiday House Tour/Café/Victoria’s Craft Boutique, and others. Standing committees include museum/archives, gardens, marketing, facility rental, and others.

Please print and complete this volunteer application and email or mail it to the Norwood Park Historical Society, info@norwoodparkhistoricalsociety.org, 5624 N. Newark Ave, Chicago, IL 60631. Phone (773) 631-4633

We will help you find your perfect volunteer opportunity.
